Halloumi is a semi-hard cheese made from milk of cows, sheep or goats, also known as grilled cheese, which makes squeaking sounds when chewed. Some spices like salt and mint add flavor to the cheese. Halloumi is pickled in a brine, similar to feta. The origin is known from the following countries: Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Lebanon and Lybia.
