The diverse Trodos Mountains

The Trodos Mountains are one of the most famous tourist attractions on the island of Cyprus. This mountain range is known for its incredible natural attractions, including a national park, springs and rivers, steep cliffs and forests. In winter Troodos is a great attraction for skiers and snowboarders, while in summer the area is an important starting point for hiking, camping and nature observation.

The highest elevation of the Trodos Mountains now corresponds to Mount Olympus, with a height of 1,952 meters. This mountain offers a breathtaking view over the island and the Mediterranean Sea. The national park also offers hiking trails with different levels of difficulty, but the most famous among them is the Caledonia Falls Trail, which leads through lush forests and amazing waterfalls.

The Trodos Mountains are also known for its traditional villages and monasteries that have existed here for centuries. Some of the most famous monasteries are Kykkos Monastery and Troodos Monastery, both built in medieval style and rich in art and cultural history.

As the main attraction of Cyprus, the Trodos Mountains attract thousands of tourists every year who want to discover the beauty of nature and culture of Cyprus.
