The underwater museum Musau in Agia Napa Cyprus is a unique project that combines art, nature and diving. It was created by famed artist Jason deCaires Taylor, known for his ecological sculptures that promote and protect marine life. The 93 works of art are placed at a depth of 8 to 10 meters and are accessible from the shore of Pernera beach. The museum displays aspects of Cypriot culture, history and mythology. The artworks are made of materials with neutral pH, so as not to pollute the sea. They serve as artificial reefs, attracting marine life such as fish, crabs, cuttlefish, etc.
Musau is a place of beauty and inspiration. The museum is an unforgettable experience for divers and snorkelers and is suitable for all ages. The unique museum in the Eastern Mediterranean was officially opened on July 1, 2021.
